Photos

HomeInventory-HQ allows you to capture or upload photos of:

• Inventory items
• Rooms
• Property
• Collectibles
• Receipts
• Documents

Photos may be compressed to improve storage efficiency while maintaining image quality.

Your information is used only to provide HomeInventory-HQ features, including:

• Managing your home inventory
• Tracking maintenance
• Organizing collectibles
• Creating insurance reports
• Generating PDF reports
• Synchronizing data across devices (Cloud Storage)
• Sending maintenance reminders (if enabled)
• Providing customer support

HomeInventory-HQ includes optional AI-powered recognition features for collectibles.

When you choose to scan a collectible:

• Images may be securely transmitted to Microsoft Azure AI Vision for text recognition.
• OCR results are returned to HomeInventory-HQ.
• The recognized information is used only to help populate collectible details.
• You can edit or replace any AI-generated information before saving.

AI recognition is initiated only when you choose to scan.

HomeInventory-HQ supports Local Storage.

When Local Storage is selected:

• Your inventory data remains on your device.
• Photos remain on your device.
• Collectible images remain on your device.
• No inventory or collectible photos are uploaded unless you explicitly enable Cloud Storage or another feature that requires cloud processing.

If you enable Cloud Storage:

• Your data is securely stored using Microsoft Azure.
• Photos and documents are encrypted during transmission.
• Cloud storage enables synchronization across your devices and optional family sharing features.

If you enable notifications, HomeInventory-HQ may send:

• Maintenance reminders
• Important application notifications

Notification preferences can be changed at any time within the app.

If enabled, HomeInventory-HQ may send:

• Account verification emails
• Password reset emails
• Maintenance reminder emails
• Subscription-related notifications

We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.

We only share information when necessary to provide the services you request, including trusted service providers such as:

• Microsoft Azure (cloud hosting and AI services)
• Email delivery providers (for account and notification emails)

These providers process information only to deliver the requested service.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted network communication (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication
• Access controls
• Industry-standard password protection
• Secure cloud infrastructure

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we continuously work to protect your information.

You control your information.

You may:

• Edit your information
• Delete inventory items
• Delete collectibles
• Delete photos
• Delete claims
• Delete your account (subject to applicable legal or operational requirements)
• Choose Local Storage or Cloud Storage, where supported

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the services you use or as required by law.

If you delete your account, associated data will be removed from our systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

HomeInventory-HQ is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

HomeInventory-HQ may use third-party services, including:

• Microsoft Azure
• Microsoft Azure AI Vision
• Microsoft App Center (if enabled)
• Apple Push Notification Service (APNs)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), where applicable

Each third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy.

If you use HomeInventory-HQ outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to protect your data regardless of where it is processed.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any significant changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date at the top of this page.
